E-man turns 1!!!!

The holiday season is turning out to be a very VERY hectic time of year. Not only are the holidays in themselves busy, but throw in three birthdays in the family and the stress (and JOY!) is maxed out! And bank accounts also for that matter. haha.

So because of this, and the fact that this is the only year E-man won't care much about his party, we had a small celebration for him. The morning of his birthday we I baked scones and had breakfast together and he got to open his presents from us. Then saturday morning we had invited my sister with family and grandma with husband to celebrate a bit more. He partied hard for 1,5 hours and was after that tired and got to sleep :) But we were able to snap a few pictures of him at least!

Auntie made these:

I'm on a blog roll here :)

Part two!

It's been so fun to watch the boys start playing with each other so much more the past month. They'll come riding around the corner on their little car together laughing. I sense some things will get easier in life because of this :) maybe?! But also now E-man has started walking. And I know most would say watch out, but he's already been everywhere for quite a while so now he'll be less frustrated when he can join in on all the fun the cousins have.

A couple days after thanksgiving we had decided to have a thanksgiving dinner for our house church, but open to anyone else who wanted to come. The number ended at 25 people. The were several people from isaacs swedish class that came. We set up tables in our living room, it was snuggly but lovely!

It was rather interesting since neither Isaac or I has ever cooked any of the elements of a Thanksgiving dinner! And of course didn't what we had gotten ourself into until the evening before :) We figured that most that were coming hadn't ever had thankgiving food before so they wouldn't be able to compare if we were completely off. But praise God all the food turned out great!! I like swedish green been casserole better apparently ;) Isaac did a fabulous job with the turkey! A few of the girls from our house church helped out tons, and one brought homemade pies like pecan, pumpkin, apple etc.

Here are some pictures of what life without a car looks like: :)

we are trying to transport a kid cart home from the second hand store here: haha

I've been missing everyone in Denver terribly this past week. Can you all just fly over for a day each so we can hang out with you? All joking aside, God blessed us with a home that has room for visitors so please come visit if you want!!

Love you guys!

Can't believe it's already december!!

It has sadly enough been over two months since I put a post up! I would never have guessed it was that long until I actually looked!

The weeks have been flying by. Isaac is doing SO good at learning swedish! He blows me away when he starts talking. It's a strange feeling when I've gotten so used to always just speaking english with him that we now are beginning to have conversations in swedish.

Mr. M just turned three at the end of november. My heart is so overjoyed when I look at my little boy and see all the ways he's grown and developed. And I'm sure most moms can relate to the sadness that comes along with that, knowing they will grow up and leave home one day. He had his party with his cousin who is 12 days older. They had a blast!

Our american friends here had a baby in October so we got to watch their sweet girl during their stay at the hospital. She is one of Miles' two friends and they have decided to move back home and will be doing so at the end of december. We will miss them very much, and we are also sad for Miles.

I was blessed with another niece earlier this fall. She is absolutely adorable!!

E-man is about to turn one next week! I don't know if I've ever seen anyone smile as much as he does. It's like is whole being is bursting at the seams with joy 24/7!

I think I will do a blog post part 2 :)

Life is busy!

Life has really started rolling here! Isaac's going to school every morning for 3 hours, and when he comes back I many days run off to work for 8 hours. I got an "extra" job helping people with different mental disabilities, mostly with Downs Syndrome but also other various other things too. It was just mainly "we really need work" but it turns out that I'm really enjoying it! I look at these people that much of society looks down on and pities, but I just feel love for them. One of the residents there was telling me about people that had died...so I asked "Where are they?". "D" pointed his finger to the sky and said "with God". There is something so innocent with them, and I wonder if they're not the more blessed ones in many ways. Sadly they said that they are getting less and less people because they now do the diagnostic tests in the womb and many of these precious people are aborted. But I'm thankful for a job and also to have a job that I very much enjoy going to.

As far as ministry goes: we meet every friday evening at 8.30 pm here for prayer nights. It's easier to do it once the kids are down. And then we have bible study on sunday evenings at 6pm. It's been exciting to see God bringing new people in, but we feel no pressure in numbers so I'm always just curious to see who will stay around. But it's been a blessing having more fellowship! And it blesses us to hear that the study is an answer to their prayers.

The boys are growing so fast. E-man will probably be walking here in not very long. He already stands up just holding himself with one hand. Mr. M throughly enjoys hanging out with his cousins, but he also has a new friend Miss S who is just a month younger than him and daughter to another ministry couple that live here in Vallentuna that we have been hanging out with.

My brain is tired after a long day of work so the rest will just be a bunch of pictures of the boys! :)

E-man likes toys now!

IKEA-trip. Right after a freak-out :)

Going out to play in the cold sandbox.

Our view on our morning walk.

Kids geared up for the rain outside.

Isaac will be sending out a prayer update soon also. Let me/us know if you aren't on the list for it and would like to be!

Photo update!

This blog post will mainly be pictures, so that you can see the boys growing and a little of our surroundings! :)

This is E-man playing with Mr M's toys:

How can you not smile when you see a face like this? :)

I took the boys on a walk not far from where we live:

I'd say our "backyard" isn't that shabby at all!

E-man is getting into the drawers:

Auntie had turned Mr. M into a cat a few times lately - and he likes it!

For our birthday, me and my sisters got a present from our lovely aunt to go eat chocolate!!

This is one of the main streets in Stockholm:

M asked me if I could take a picture of him while sitting on the "excavator" - here he is!
This is also the area we live in, the town home we're in looks exactly like the ones in the background.. I'll post some pictures when it looks more presentable :)

God's true blessings to you all!
